ARTIST STATEMENT

My art practice is driven by a curiosity to explore the unseen realms within the self, delving into the intricate nuances of the unconscious mind, personal growth and transformation. I am deeply influenced by my personal healing journey, teachings I have received through a trauma-informed breathwork practice and my growing interest in depth psychology. Through abstraction, I offer a window into the intangible spaces of the human psyche, where organic form, shape, colour, and gradients unite to manifest a synergistic energy, evoking tension and movement.

With the addition of thread and object to the surfaces, I am able to bring tangibility to what is intangible to the eye. The thread, is utilized as a fascia-like network — an invisible yet essential structure within the body that I interpret as a holder of unconscious memory and emotion. The objects I stitch into the canvas bring physicality and symbolize what is being stored within.

My intention is to gently illuminate these inner landscapes, creating a visual language that encourages connection, presence, and compassion for the ongoing human experience. In a world saturated with noise and distraction, my art serves as a sanctuary—a haven for contemplation, reflection, and connection. It is my heartfelt hope that through my work, others may find solace in the shared tapestry of humanity, catching glimpses of the profound wisdom that resides within us all.
